Shell Boards · Original works

A second life, shell by shell.

Old surfboards, given a second life. Each one is covered by hand in shells I gather from the beach, set in a pattern I'll never repeat. When you own one, you own the only one.

The work

Made slowly, by hand.

Every board starts as a surfboard that has already lived a life in the water. I gather every shell myself along the beach, then spend days setting them one at a time, turning and aligning each piece until the board feels right.

There's no template. Each design comes from whatever I'm feeling and inspired by at the time, which is why no board will ever be repeated.
